Site statistics
The Statistics section in your account shows how many people come to your channel site, where from and what they read. Below: what is counted, why the numbers are lower than real traffic and who can see the section.
What is counted
- Visits: how many times the site was opened; one person can make several visits a day.
- Visitors: how many different people came over the chosen period.
- Pageviews: how many pages they opened.
- Reports: sources (search, direct, links, social), landing pages, devices, countries and search phrases.
- Filters: a period of up to 366 days, grouping by day, week or month, source and device. Your choice is kept in the page address, so you can save the link.
Visit quality
- Bounce rate — the share of visits shorter than 15 seconds: the page was opened and left right away.
- Page depth — how many pages are opened per visit on average.
- Time on site — how long a visit lasts on average.
- The metrics cover the selected period and use the same filters as visits; the chart shows one metric at a time, picked by clicking its tile.
Visitor actions
- The block shows what people do on the site: sending a lead, going to Telegram, calling or emailing, opening the form, a pop-up being shown and its button clicked, opening stories, searching the site.
- The set of actions is the same for every template; nothing needs to be configured.
- The number next to an action is how many times it happened during the period. Conversion is the share of visits in which the action happened at least once.
- The chart shows up to four actions at once; they are switched on with the dot at the start of a row.
- Actions are counted by the same counter, so only visitors who accepted cookies are included. The Leads section may show more leads: it has all of them. The exact number of leads for the period is shown under the list.
Why the numbers are lower than real traffic
- The counter loads only after a visitor accepts cookies in the site banner. Those who declined or did not answer are not counted.
- Some visitors use ad and tracker blockers, which also switch off Metrica.
- Data is refreshed every 15 minutes, and today is incomplete until the end of the day.
- So read the numbers as a trend and proportions, not as an exact head count.
Who can see the section
- Reports are open on the “Widgets” and “Custom domain” plans. On “Subdomain” the section is visible, but instead of reports you see a plan hint.
- Visits are collected on any plan with a published site, so after you subscribe the history of past days will already be there.
- A new site gets its first data after the first visits; until then the section says the counter is installed.
Whose counter it is
- The counter is a service one: Inero creates and runs it, nothing to set up. In your account the site owner sees summarised numbers.
- The owner has no access to the counter in Yandex Metrica itself; session replay and click maps are off.
- More about cookies is on the “Cookie policy” page linked in the site footer.
