Connecting a channel

The site builds itself: the bot reads the channel and pulls in the archive — posts, photos, comments — then picks up new posts as they go out. Below: which channels work and what to do.

Which channels work

Public channels only

The channel must have an @username and an open t.me/username link — that is how Inero finds it.

Private channels cannot be connected

A channel people join through an invite link has no public name, and Telegram serves no posts for it by username. To build a site, make the channel public first: Manage channel → Channel type → Public channel, and claim a free name.

An admin connects it

The bot is added by the same Telegram account that is linked to your Inero account: that is what proves the channel is yours.

Size does not matter

Subscriber count plays no part. What matters is that the channel already has posts — that is what the site is built from.

Four steps

  1. 1

Create an account and link Telegram

Create an account with Yandex ID, VK ID or an email link — no password needed. Then link your Telegram account, the banner in your account reminds you: open @ineroaibot, send the /login command and enter the code. Without the link the bot cannot check that the channel is yours.

  2. 2

    Point Inero at the channel

In the Sites section press Connect channel and type the name — or paste a whole link: t.me/username, https://t.me/username, the address of any post. An invite link to a private channel will not work, and Inero says so right away.

  3. 3

Add the bot as an admin

Open the channel → Manage channel → Administrators → Add admin, find the bot by name, turn off every permission switch and press Save. The video below shows how.

  4. 4

    Wait for confirmation

It arrives automatically, and the archive starts loading — usually a few minutes. After that the site opens at name.inero.ai.

The bot needs no permissions: admin status alone is enough for confirmation.

What the bot cannot do

  • publish, edit or delete posts
  • change the channel name, avatar or settings
  • add or remove administrators
  • read conversations or write as you

Admin status is only there so Telegram can confirm the channel is yours.

If you want comments

Comments live in the discussion group linked to the channel, not in the channel itself. To get them on the site, add the bot to that group too — as a regular member.

Not confirmed?

  • Telegram must be linked to your account, and the bot must be added by that same Telegram account
  • after choosing permissions press Save — otherwise the bot does not become an admin
  • the bot must stay an admin: adding it and removing it right away will not work
  • if the bot is already in the channel and the check still fails, remove it and add it again
